Every t-shirt in the Wovn Depot. lineup is built on one blank — the Bella+Canvas 3001 Unisex Jersey Short Sleeve Tee. That is not a default choice. It is a deliberate one. The 3001 is one of the most widely recognized blanks in the custom apparel industry for a reason — the fabric is genuinely soft, the fit is clean and consistent, and the surface holds print detail better than most shirts at any price point. That is the foundation every Wovn Depot. graphic gets printed on.
What goes on top of that blank is entirely Riot Mind Studios. Every design in the lineup was created in-house for the five communities we build for — Panther Platform owners, horror fans, the Taíno community, gamers, and the 2A community. No stock designs, no licensed clip art, no recycled graphics from a template library. Every shirt is produced on demand through Printful and ships directly to you once the order is placed. Fresh print, every time.
The 3001 runs in a unisex fit across a wide range of colors. Most colorways are 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton — Bella+Canvas's proprietary yarn process that removes impurities from the fiber before it is spun, which is what gives the shirt its surface feel and why it takes ink cleanly. Heather and blend colorways contain a polyester component, which affects both the feel and the care requirements slightly. Color availability varies by design, but the blank, the fit, and the construction are consistent across the entire lineup.
The sections below cover everything you need to know about the brand behind the blank, what the fabric actually is and how it behaves, how the sizing works, and how to keep the shirt looking the way it did out of the bag.
Brand Guide
Bella+Canvas was founded in 1992 in Los Angeles by Danny Harris and Marco DeGeorge — two people who came up through the print and screen-print side of the apparel industry, not the fashion side. That background matters. The 3001 was not designed to look good on a runway. It was designed to hold a print, fit consistently across a wide range of body types, and hold up through repeated washing. Those are print-industry priorities, and the 3001 reflects them.
Bella+Canvas is currently the largest wholesale apparel manufacturer in the United States. Their cutting facility in Los Angeles is the largest automated cutting operation in the world. They dye the majority of their fabrics domestically using bluesign-certified dyes — a third-party standard that covers water treatment, chemical safety, and environmental impact throughout the dyeing process. Their manufacturing partners across Guatemala, Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras, and the US operate under Bella+Canvas's own Workplace Code of Conduct, which meets and exceeds Fair Labor Association standards. This is not marketing language — it is the documented operating framework they publish and hold their supply chain to.
The 3001 specifically sits in their core lineup and has for decades. It is the blank that screen printers, DTG operations, and custom apparel brands consistently return to because the sizing is stable across dye lots, the color library is broad and well-controlled, and the Airlume cotton surface is reliably print-ready without needing pre-treatment adjustments on most print setups. That consistency is what makes it worth building on.

Fabric Guide
The fabric in the 3001 is the reason it has the reputation it does. Understanding what it is and how it differs by colorway helps you know what to expect from the shirt you ordered.
Standard Solid Colors — 100% Airlume Combed and Ring-Spun Cotton, 4.2 oz.
Airlume is Bella+Canvas's proprietary name for their cotton preparation process. Before the yarn is spun, the raw cotton fibers go through a combing process that removes short fibers, debris, and impurities. What remains is a longer, cleaner fiber that gets ring-spun — a spinning method that twists the fibers into a tighter, more uniform yarn. The result is a 4.2 oz. fabric that is lighter than most standard jersey tees, has a noticeably smoother hand feel, and resists pilling better than coarser alternatives. It is not a thick, heavy shirt. It is a fine jersey knit that wears well and takes print detail cleanly.
The 32 singles specification refers to the yarn count — a higher number means a finer yarn. Most basic cotton tees run in the 20s or low 30s. The 3001 at 32 singles is on the finer end of the jersey spectrum, which contributes directly to the softness and the smooth print surface.
Ash — 99% Airlume Combed and Ring-Spun Cotton / 1% Polyester
The Ash colorway introduces a small polyester component that gives the fabric its heathered appearance. Construction and care requirements are the same as the standard solid.
Athletic Heather and Black Heather — 90% Airlume Combed and Ring-Spun Cotton / 10% Polyester
These colorways carry more polyester than the Ash variant, which gives them a slightly different texture and affects color behavior under heat and washing. Follow the same care approach as the standard colors but be more cautious with heat during drying.
Heather and Blend Colors — 52% Airlume Combed and Ring-Spun Cotton / 48% Polyester
The CVC heather colorways are roughly half cotton, half polyester. They feel softer than straight cotton to many people but behave differently under washing and drying heat. These colorways are more prone to fading with high heat and harsh detergents. The care section below covers what to do and what to avoid.

Size Guide
The 3001 runs in a retail fit — meaning it is cut closer to the body than a traditional boxy tee but is not a compression or athletic cut. It sits at the shoulders, tapers slightly through the torso, and lands at a standard length through the hip. Most people find it runs true to size. If you prefer more room through the chest and torso, size up one.
The unisex sizing is designed to work across body types. Women who prefer an oversized look typically size up one to two sizes from their standard women's size.

Length is measured from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem. Width is measured across the chest one inch below the armhole seam, then doubled. Chest measurement reflects the recommended body chest size for that size, not the garment measurement.

Care Guide
The 3001 is pre-shrunk, but how you wash and dry it still determines how long it keeps its shape, color, and print quality. The Airlume cotton surface that makes this shirt print well is also the same surface that is sensitive to heat and harsh detergents. Take care of it properly and the shirt will hold up for years of regular wear.
Washing
Turn the shirt inside out before every wash. This protects the print surface from abrasion against other garments and reduces direct friction on the graphic during the wash cycle. Use cold water on a normal or gentle cycle. Cold water preserves both the fabric and the print — hot water causes cotton fibers to swell and can cause print layers to crack or lift over time.
Use a mild, standard detergent. Avoid anything with bleach or bleach alternatives, even if the label says "color safe." Avoid fabric softeners — they coat the cotton fibers with a residue that builds up over repeated washes, reducing the fabric's breathability and leaving a film that can dull the print surface. For heather and blend colorways with higher polyester content, this is even more important.
Wash similar colors together. The 3001's dyes are well-controlled, but dark and saturated colors can bleed slightly in the first few washes on high heat. Cold water and like colors eliminates that risk entirely.
Drying
Air drying is always the best option for this shirt. Lay it flat or hang it on a hanger and let it dry away from direct sunlight. Direct UV exposure during drying can fade both the fabric color and the graphic over time, particularly on heather and blend colorways.
If you use a dryer, set it to low heat. The 3001 is pre-shrunk but prolonged high heat will still cause gradual fiber shrinkage and can cause the print to crack. Do not over-dry — remove the shirt while it is still slightly damp and let it finish air drying flat. This preserves the shape and reduces unnecessary heat exposure to the print.
What to Avoid
- Bleach or bleach-based products in any form — they break down Airlume cotton fibers and will destroy the print
- Fabric softeners — they coat the fibers and degrade the print surface over time
- Hot water washing — causes fiber swelling, color shift, and print cracking over repeat cycles
- High heat drying — causes gradual shrinkage and print degradation
- Ironing directly over the print — if you need to iron the shirt, turn it inside out and use a low heat setting, or iron around the graphic
- Dry cleaning — not necessary and the solvents used can affect both fabric and print adhesion
Care Summary
- Wash inside out, cold water, mild detergent
- No bleach, no fabric softener, no hot water
- Air dry flat away from direct sunlight, or tumble dry low heat
- Remove from dryer while slightly damp and finish air drying
- Iron inside out on low heat only — never directly over the print
- Wash like colors together
